Police in Beaverton have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a March shooting at Schiffler Park that left another man seriously injured.
According to the Beaverton Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 9:11 p.m. on March 25, 2026, at Schiffler Park near 5495 SW Erickson Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the park’s basketball courts.
Officers immediately began providing life-saving aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the victim survived his injuries.
Investigators later recovered shell casings and gang-related graffiti at the scene as detectives worked to identify the suspect. The investigation led detectives to identify 21-year-old Dennis Baltic of Beaverton as the alleged shooter.
On May 10, 2026, Beaverton patrol officers located Baltic walking near Southwest Allen Boulevard and Highway 217. Officers detained him without incident.
During the arrest, police said officers recovered a loaded Glock handgun with an extended magazine from Baltic’s waistband. Additional ammunition and magazines were also seized.
Baltic was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges connected to the March shooting as well as multiple firearm-related offenses.
