Washington County Man Indicted on Multiple Sex Crime Charges Involving Minor

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. — A 30-year-old man has been indicted on multiple sex crime charges after investigators alleged he posed as a teenager on Snapchat to contact a minor and engaged in sexual contact with her on multiple occasions.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to an assault at a home near Metzger Park in unincorporated Washington County on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The reporting party told deputies he had returned home and found an adult man in bed with his minor child.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit identified the man as Jason Emmanuel Lara-Vazquez, 30. Investigators learned that Lara-Vazquez allegedly posed as a teenager when he met the victim through Snapchat and had sexual contact with her more than once.

Lara-Vazquez was taken to a hospital that night following a confrontation at the residence.

On September 15, a Washington County grand jury indicted Lara-Vazquez on the following charges:

• Two counts of second-degree rape
• Two counts of second-degree sodomy
• Four counts of first-degree sexual abuse
• Two counts of second-degree unlawful sexual penetration

On September 24, the Vancouver Police Department assisted Washington County detectives in arresting Lara-Vazquez. He was initially lodged at the Clark County Jail before being extradited to the Washington County Jail on October 8.

Investigators Seek Additional Victims

Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information about Lara-Vazquez or anyone who was contacted by him through Snapchat or other social media platforms to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit at 503-846-2500 and reference case number 50-26-10111.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is releasing Lara-Vazquez’s booking photograph in accordance with Oregon House Bill 3273 to help identify any additional criminal activity.
