PORTLAND, Ore. — A former Portland podiatrist has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of sexual abuse involving a dozen female patients, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
Brian Bowen, 52, entered guilty pleas Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Multnomah County Circuit Court to 12 counts related to the sexual abuse of patients while they were receiving medical care.
The charges stem from allegations that Bowen sexually abused patients in medical settings. He had previously been convicted of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree following a bench trial before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Albrecht.
As part of the plea agreement, Bowen pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Seven counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree
- Two counts of Sexual Abuse by Fraudulent Representation
- Additional counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree involving multiple victims
Bowen also remains convicted of Count 9, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, from the earlier bench trial.
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office credited Portland Police Bureau Detectives David McCormick and Nathan Wollstein for their investigative work on the case.
The office also recognized victim advocates Alie Aguilera, Amina Dureti, and Aylin Salas-Lara for providing support and assistance to the victims throughout the proceedings.
Bowen faces more than eight years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 14, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Multnomah County Circuit Court.
