LINN COUNTY, Ore. — A Wilsonville man has been arrested following an eight-month investigation into allegations that he used social media to send sexually explicit content to minors, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan announced that detectives arrested Christopher Jay Webb, 34, of Wilsonville, on May 28, 2026, after an extensive investigation into online communications with juveniles.
Investigators said Webb used the Snapchat application to contact a 17-year-old girl from Sweet Home whom he did not know. Authorities allege that Webb was aware of the girl’s age when he sent her multiple sexually explicit images and videos of himself and solicited similar content from her.
During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered evidence indicating Webb may have used Snapchat to communicate with other juveniles for similar purposes. According to investigators, Webb told some of the juveniles that he worked at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
Detectives executed search warrants to obtain digital evidence and conducted an extensive review of online accounts and electronic media. Following that investigation, Webb was arrested and lodged at the Linn County Jail on one count of Luring a Minor.
The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing and could result in additional charges.
Authorities believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified. Investigators have released Webb’s photograph in an effort to locate anyone else who may have been contacted by him.
Anyone with information related to the investigation, or who believes they may have been a victim, is encouraged to contact Detective Dakotah Hinrichs at 541-967-3820.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office urged anyone with relevant information to come forward as investigators continue to pursue leads in the case.
