Linn County, OR. — Ken Jackola has won the Republican primary for Oregon House District 11, according to unofficial results released by the Oregon Secretary of State. Jackola received 56.99% of the vote with 6,263 votes, defeating Angelita “Angel” Sanchez, who received 42.72% with 4,695 votes as of publication, additional votes may yet be reported.
Jackola, a lifelong Lebanon resident and current mayor of Lebanon, campaigned as a conservative focused on representing rural Oregon. A retired Army and Oregon National Guard veteran, he served 25 years with deployments to Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan and currently works as vice president of the Albany & Eastern Railroad Company.
Following the release of results, Sanchez issued a concession statement thanking supporters and acknowledging the outcome of the race.
“We worked unbelievably hard. We knocked thousands of doors, walked countless miles, and left everything we had on the field,” Sanchez said. “No matter the outcome, we can be proud we ran a clean and respectful campaign rooted in conviction, grit, and the issues that truly matter to this district.”

Sanchez also said she respected “the will of the voters” and indicated she intends to remain politically active in the future.
“This race didn’t end the way we hoped, but I’m not going away,” she said. “I will always believe rural Oregon deserves a voice at the table.”
In her statement, Sanchez additionally referenced the apparent statewide defeat of Oregon’s transportation funding referendum, saying, “Oregonians also overwhelmingly defeated the gas tax. I’m proud of the work we did for that.”
House District 11 covers portions of Oregon’s southern Willamette Valley and central coast region, including communities in Lane County and Linn County.
The results remain unofficial until certified by state and county election officials.
