OMG Burgers & Brew
Take a look at my most recent reviews and you’ll walk away with the opinion that northeast Oregon is a terrible place to do a burger blog. OMG Burgers and Brews to the rescue! This place has one of the most expansive hamburger menus in Eastern Oregon and it’s a bastion of culinary civilization. You’ll be seeing this one a lot more frequently in the future.
The Verdict: 8.0
A hamburger bathed in a tub of mac and cheese feels like a big city gimic, and it’s certainly a gastronomic idiosyncracy for the region. The mac and cheese is aggressively cheesey in a good way. What holds it back is the Sriracha – it’s advertised as an ingredient in the mac and cheese itself, and there’s certainly a hint. Unfortunately they took a leaf from La Croix and barely added in any to the recipe. Some may find that an unforgivable sin. Others may find relief that their ostensibly spicy mac and cheese will not in fact be spicy and they can dig in without anxiety.
