ROSEBURG, Ore. — A months-long investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in Douglas County has led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of drugs, firearms, cash, and evidence of drug distribution, according to the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT).
The investigation began in early 2026 after DINT detectives received information that James Dean Stepp, 57, of Roseburg, was allegedly distributing methamphetamine throughout Douglas County. Over the course of the investigation, detectives gathered evidence supporting the allegations.
On July 2, detectives executed a search warrant at Stepp’s residence in the 300 block of Kermanshah Street in Roseburg, bringing the investigation to a close. Authorities said Stepp was taken into custody without incident.
During the search of the residence, detectives seized methamphetamine, a large amount of U.S. currency, multiple firearms, and additional evidence consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine.
Three people were arrested in connection with the investigation.
James Dean Stepp, 57, of Roseburg, was lodged on five counts each of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, along with six counts of felon in possession of a firearm.
Jesse Dean Stepp, 29, of Roseburg, was arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Branden Michael Mohr, 57, of Roseburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and an additional charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
DINT said it remains committed to identifying and disrupting illegal narcotics trafficking throughout Douglas County. Anyone with information about illegal drug activity is encouraged to contact the task force at 541-440-4474 or submit an anonymous tip through the agency’s website.
