Building Community Together!

In HD-15, we’re all about people coming together, making connections, helping those in need, and doing great things. What makes our HD-15 community truly special? It’s our commitment to strengthening ties, raising awareness, offering opportunities, and forming powerful partnerships.

This week, I set out on a ‘Service and Support Tour’ around HD-15. And I wanted to share with you the amazing individuals and organizations that make our community thrive. I’d like to share these resources and help you discover the “who, what, and how” to make a difference. So many people want to help, to do “something”, but don’t know where to start – maybe something posted this week inspires you! I know it inspires me.

ABC House advocates in our community to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect, supporting children as they find their voice, and helping children and families heal and thrive.

In 1991, the Oregon State Legislature passed House Bill 2882, which mandated the creation of 35 Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) to assess child abuse investigation procedures in each county in the state.

Over the last 25 years, ABC House has provided a continuum of comprehensive services to over 12,000 children and their families. To date, they are the only agency providing child abuse assessment and support services for Benton and Linn counties.

ABC House is an accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance and a member of the Oregon Child Abuse Solutions.
