Portland, OR. — Portland police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects connected to an assault and shooting near an Old Town nightclub.
At approximately 9:38 p.m. Aug. 1, two males were seen assaulting another man on Northwest Davis Street between Northwest Sixth Avenue and Northwest Broadway, according to police. The confrontation occurred near a line for a nightclub in the area.
Police said another man attempted to intervene and was shot. He was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The two suspects allegedly left the area aboard a TriMet bus near Southwest Third Avenue and Southwest Lincoln Street. They later boarded a MAX train and exited near Southeast 12th Avenue and Southeast Clinton Street.
Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau’s Enhanced Community Safety Team have not identified the suspects.
Both were described as lean males, possibly in their late teens or early 20s, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. Both reportedly wore black hooded sweatshirts with the hoods raised.
