Ballot Tracking Alerts Expand to All Oregon Voters Ahead of November Election
Oregon — All Oregon voters can now sign up for ballot tracking alerts for the November 2026 general election, expanding a service previously available in five counties.
The service provides updates when a county elections office sends a voter’s ballot, receives the returned ballot and accepts it for counting. Voters can enroll through the Oregon Secretary of State’s ballot tracking page and choose notifications by text message, email or phone call.
If a ballot is not accepted because of a signature issue, the system will notify the voter so they can take steps to resolve the problem and have their vote counted.
“Every voter in Oregon, no matter where they live, deserves the same access to their ballot and the same confidence that their vote counts,” Secretary of State Tobias Read said in the announcement.
“This tool gives voters a quick, easy, and secure way to track their ballot through the process and get alerted if there are any issues with their signature on their ballot,” Read said.
To enroll, voters must provide their first and last name, date of birth and ZIP code. Those details must exactly match the information in their voter registration record.
Ballot tracking alerts were previously available in Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Washington and Yamhill counties. Voters already receiving alerts in those counties will continue to receive them. Other voters in those counties can also enroll through the statewide tracking page.
Read also released a video announcement explaining the expanded service.
