BEAVERTON, Ore. — The Beaverton Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of assaulting a Latino man in what investigators believe was a bias-motivated attack.
The assault occurred Friday, July 10, 2026, while the victim, who is of Latino descent, was remodeling a business in the 12700 block of SW 3rd Street in Beaverton.
According to investigators, the suspect approached the victim and told him, “You don’t belong here,” before tackling him to the ground and punching him multiple times in the face. The victim suffered injuries in the assault.
The victim and witnesses also reported that the suspect yelled racial slurs during the attack.
Based on the investigation, Beaverton police have developed probable cause to arrest the suspect on allegations of Assault in the Fourth Degree and Bias Crime in the First Degree.
Police described the suspect as a white male between approximately 30 and 40 years old with a heavy build.
