SALEM, Ore. — A 58-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to 168 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to five separate robberies committed across northeast Salem in 2024.
James K. Lucas was sentenced July 29, 2026, following his guilty pleas to charges stemming from the robberies, which occurred at five different locations between June and December 2024. His convictions include multiple counts carrying firearm-related enhancements.
According to the Salem Police Department, detectives with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit worked to investigate and resolve the cases.
Police credited the victims for their patience and cooperation throughout the investigations and prosecution.
The department also thanked Marion County District Attorney Paige Clarkson and her staff for their continued partnership in prosecuting the cases and holding offenders accountable.
The Salem Police Department said it remains committed to addressing robbery and violent crime and improving safety throughout the community.
