SALEM, Ore. — A 35-year-old Salem man was arrested Thursday morning after Salem Police SWAT officers executed a search warrant at a residence in southeast Salem, authorities said.
The search warrant was served at approximately 4:59 a.m. Aug. 6 in the 5000 block of Coloma Court SE as part of an ongoing investigation led by the Salem Police Strategic Investigations Unit.
During the search, officers reportedly found two .22-caliber handguns, approximately $1,740 in cash, drugs packaged for sale, scales and packaging materials.
Police arrested Tyler Alvis, 35, of Salem, and lodged him in the Marion County Jail on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance involving fentanyl, and felon in possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing. Questions regarding the case have been referred to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.
