LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A 45-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening after a homeowner returned to find an alleged intruder inside their residence in the Creswell area, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 7:45 p.m. on July 11 to the 25600 block of East Bolton Road following a report of a burglary in progress. The caller told dispatchers they had returned home with their young child and discovered an unknown man inside the house.
Responding deputies surrounded the residence and used multiple resources to conduct a safe search of the property. The operation included the deployment of drones, and a Springfield Police Department K-9 team also responded to assist.
Authorities said deputies repeatedly ordered the suspect to exit the home, but he failed to comply. Deputies and assisting officers then entered the residence, where they located the suspect hiding inside.
The suspect, identified as Marcas Allen Yeoman, 45, was taken into custody without further incident and lodged at the Lane County Jail.
Yeoman faces the following charges:
- Burglary in the First Degree
- Theft in the Third Degree
- Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle
- Attempted Unlawful Use of a Vehicle
- Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active, and no additional information is being released at this time.
