YACOLT, Wash. — A motorcyclist died following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening near the town of Yacolt, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews from Clark County Fire District 13, North Country EMS, and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 6:39 p.m. on May 27 to the 25200 block of Northeast Worthington Road after reports of a motorcycle crash.
Officials said the rider suffered critical injuries and was airlifted by LifeFlight helicopter to an area hospital. The Sheriff’s Office later confirmed the motorcyclist died from those injuries.
Preliminary findings indicate the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Northeast Worthington Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and crashed into vegetation along the shoulder.
