LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Lane County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man believed to be connected to an ongoing investigation into a significant sexual assault reported earlier this week.
The investigation began on May 26, when detectives launched an inquiry into the incident. Authorities have released photographs of a person of interest and are seeking information that could help identify him and the vehicle he was driving.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, the individual is described as a bald white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He also has visible tattoos on his legs.
Investigators say the man was last seen driving a dark-colored crossover-style vehicle bearing Oregon license plates.
The sheriff’s office cautioned members of the public not to approach or confront the individual, noting that he should be considered dangerous.
Anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the vehicle is urged to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4150.
The investigation remains ongoing.
