PORTLAND, Ore. — OnPoint Community Credit Union and the Oregon School Activities Association announced Tuesday that six graduating Oregon high school seniors will receive scholarships totaling $40,000 through the OnPoint Community Credit Union Scholar Program.
Since the program launched in 2019, OnPoint and OSAA have awarded more than $180,000 in scholarships to 43 students across the state to support their educational and career goals after high school.
“These six students represent the very best of Oregon, demonstrating excellence not only in the classroom and athletic competition, but through leadership, perseverance, and service,” said Rob Stuart. “We are proud to support their next steps and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their communities and beyond.”
The OnPoint Scholar Program recognizes graduating students from OSAA member schools who maintain at least a 3.50 unweighted GPA and participate in OSAA-sanctioned sports or activities. The program awards two $10,000 scholarships and four $5,000 scholarships.

She organized youth basketball opportunities, officiated games and partnered with the school’s National Honor Society to host a youth basketball camp. During her senior season, McNeil also faced personal adversity after her father was diagnosed with cancer.
Despite the challenge, she helped lead her team to success while recording a quadruple-double, surpassing 1,000 career points and earning first-team all-league honors.

According to program organizers, scholarship recipients were selected based on academic achievement, recommendation letters, personal essays, leadership and community involvement, as well as the impact OSAA activities had on their future goals.
