CORVALLIS, Ore. — April 29, 2026 (1:00 p.m.) — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal traffic crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on Southeast 3rd Street.
According to the Corvallis Police Department, the crash happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of SE 3rd Street and SE Chapman Place. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Carlos Cortez of Corvallis. Police confirmed that his next of kin has been notified.
Officials say the case remains under active investigation, and no additional details about the circumstances of the crash have been released.
