EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene man has pleaded guilty to sex trafficking a minor, federal prosecutors announced.
Anthony D’Montrez Crawford, 30, entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court on charges stemming from incidents that occurred in the summer of 2024, according to court documents.
Prosecutors say Crawford trafficked a 17-year-old victim between July and August 2024 in Eugene and nearby Springfield. Crawford and his wife allegedly created and posted online advertisements promoting the minor for commercial sex and used phone calls and text messages to arrange encounters. Authorities also say Crawford transported the victim to Seattle on two occasions for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
Crawford was formally charged by information on March 5, 2026, with sex trafficking of a child.
He now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and could receive up to life behind bars, along with a fine of up to $250,000 and five years of supervised release. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2026, before a U.S. District Court judge.
U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford announced the plea. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Huynh.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Authorities urge anyone who may be a victim of human trafficking or who has information about suspected trafficking to contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center at 1-888-373-7888 or text 233733. The hotline operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
