Polk County, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Human Services is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old who was last seen in Dallas, Oregon on April 22.
Wesley Vaughn Chace Hugmeyer, who also goes by Wesley or Wes, is believed to be in danger, according to officials. Authorities say he may still be in the Dallas area, though his exact whereabouts are unknown.
Wesley is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 135 pounds. He has brown hair—worn shoulder-length—and brown eyes.
The agency is urging anyone who may have seen Wesley or has information about his location to call 911 or contact local law enforcement immediately.
Officials say that in some missing child cases, youth may face significant risks, and locating them quickly is critical to assessing and ensuring their safety. In certain situations, children may go missing more than once, which can result in multiple public alerts.
The case is being investigated under Polk County Sheriff’s Office Case #DAS265079. The disappearance has also been reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children under report number 2085313.
Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
In addition, suspected child abuse can be reported to the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
