DALLAS, Ore. — A West Salem man has been sentenced to more than two years in prison after admitting to illegally possessing and discharging a firearm inside his home while his family was present.
Nikodemus Demetri Amrine, 22, was sentenced in Polk County Circuit Court to 25 months in prison for a 2025 incident in which he intentionally fired a weapon داخل his residence. At the time of the incident, Amrine’s wife and infant child were inside the home.
Amrine appeared before Judge Rafael A. Caso and pleaded guilty to one count of Felon in Possession of a Weapon.
In addition to the prison term, the court ordered Amrine to serve 24 months of post-prison supervision following his release. The firearm involved in the incident was also ordered forfeited.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. No injuries were reported.
