Vancouver, WA. — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian earlier this month.
The incident occurred March 12, 2026, at around 3:30 p.m. near C Street and Evergreen Boulevard. According to Vancouver Police, a woman was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a van.
The driver briefly stopped and assisted the victim out of the roadway before leaving the scene. The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He may have a tattoo on his face.
The vehicle involved is believed to be a white van, possibly a Ford, with Oregon license plates. Authorities noted the number “5” appears on the lower right area of the rear door.
The Vancouver Police Traffic Unit has continued investigating and recently obtained additional photos of both the suspect driver and the vehicle, including an image captured on the day of the incident.
Anyone with information about the identity of the driver or the location of the vehicle is urged to contact Vancouver Police Officer Sean Donaldson at sean.donaldson@cityofvancouver.us.
The investigation remains ongoing.
