Portland, OR. — A man was shot and killed Sunday night in North Portland. At approximately 9:55 p.m. on November 2, 2025, officers from the Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the 9900 block of North Whitaker Road. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim and administered first aid until paramedics arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives have responded and taken over the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at Homicidetips@police.portlandoregon.gov or by phone at 503-823-0479, referencing case number 25-301509.
North Whitaker Road will remain closed between North Victory Boulevard and North Hayden Meadows Drive while the investigation is underway. The victim’s identity will be released after confirmation by the Medical Examiner and notification of next of kin. The Public Information Officer is not responding to the scene.
