  1. “Todays sentence should send a strong message to all who abuse…” 15 Months? Come on, man, One year and three months for bringing drugs, a cell phone (so inmates can make phone calls out to the community without fear of the conversations being recorded, which in a pre-trial situation can lead to witnesses being murdered, etc.) for something like 4 years is incredibly a short sentence. There is just no telling how much havoc could have resulted from this ordeal Both inside and outside of prison! This was nothing more than a small slap on the wrist!! And he had to have made THOUSANDS of dollars over that significant a period of time. Don’t be fooled by the rhetorical commentary of investigators in this , or any other case like this, the government would seek to hide how impactful such a situation can have upon the prison population who were forced to deal with junkies all high or fiending for a hit, looking for a way to get more drugs, which in prison would be pretty slim opportunities, except by stealing from others similarly situated. Cell thieving is a serious offense in prison. People routinely get stabbed when they do shit like that, or they end up with a murder charge when they get attacked behind perpetrating such an offense. The government wouldn’t be keen on publicizing such incidents for obvious reasons, even if it were clearly the result of a cop bringing in the dope. So, there is alot more to this story and I would go out on a limb to suggest that the investigators comments were pre-written for them, if they ever even spoke those words to anyone.
