We have a health care staffing crisis in Oregon.
I’m working on legislation during the short session to remove unnecessary barriers to licensure, and expedite getting qualified nurses, behavioral health professionals, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to work serving patients.
In too many cases we put up artificial barriers to licensure, adding delays and unnecessary cost for good people to enter, or reenter, these fields.
