Oregon Announces 2027 Maximum Rent Increase of 10%

SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has announced that the maximum allowable rent increase for certain residential tenancies in 2027 will be 10%.

Under Oregon law, DAS is required to calculate and publish the maximum annual rent increase percentage for the following calendar year no later than September 30.

For tenancies subject to ORS 90.324(b), the maximum allowable rent increase for calendar year 2027 is 10%. State law sets the maximum increase for certain tenancy types at the lesser of 10% or 7% plus the Consumer Price Index.

For manufactured dwelling and marina facilities with more than 30 spaces, the maximum increase is set at 6%. Facilities with 30 or fewer spaces are subject to the applicable statutory calculation.

The maximum allowable rent increase for calendar year 2026 was 9.5%.

DAS said the methodology, calculations and Consumer Price Index data used to determine the 2027 percentage are available in the agency’s annual rent increase calculation.
