SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Department of Revenue’s Salem office and statewide contact centers will temporarily close for one hour on Tuesday, July 28, to allow employees to participate in an all-staff event.
The temporary closure will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. During that time, the department’s Salem office, located at 955 Center Street NE, and all contact centers will be unavailable.
The department’s five regional offices in Bend, Eugene, Gresham, Medford, and Portland will remain open and continue serving customers throughout the closure.
Department officials said customers can still use the Salem office’s secure drop box to submit tax forms and payments, provided payments are not made in cash and all items are clearly labeled and placed in sealed envelopes.
The Salem office and contact centers will resume normal operations immediately after the staff event concludes at 3:30 p.m.
Officials encourage anyone needing contact center assistance, making in-person payments, or seeking services at the Salem office on the afternoon of July 28 to plan around the one-hour closure.
The department’s online services, including its website and Revenue Online, will remain fully available and unaffected during the temporary closure. Customers can continue accessing online services and information throughout the day.
