TURNER, Ore. — Authorities found no suspicious items after responding to a bomb threat at the Enchanted Forest theme park Thursday, prompting officials to end their search while the park remained closed for the rest of the day as a precaution.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a report of a bomb threat involving the popular theme park on Enchanted Way SE at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Deputies responded to the scene and, with assistance from the Oregon State Police, evacuated the park while law enforcement conducted a thorough search of the property.
Following the search, deputies reported that nothing suspicious was located. Despite the all-clear, park officials elected to keep the business closed for the remainder of the day out of an abundance of caution.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office thanked park staff and visitors for their cooperation during the evacuation and response. Officials also expressed appreciation to the Oregon State Police Bomb Detection K-9 Team for assisting with the search.
The investigation into the source of the bomb threat remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details and said more information will be provided as it becomes available.
