BEND, Ore. — Bend Police are asking the public to come forward with information after the arrest of a 19-year-old transient man in connection with a sexual abuse investigation involving a teenage victim.
On Wednesday, June 17, detectives arrested Alex Roger Stanley, 19, of Bend, on multiple felony charges stemming from an investigation involving a 15-year-old girl. Stanley was booked on two counts of third-degree rape, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, three counts of using a child in a sexual display, and one count of distribution of methamphetamine to a minor.
According to investigators, the case began in February 2026 after the 15-year-old victim underwent a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) examination at St. Charles Health System. Bend Police detectives launched an investigation, which ultimately established probable cause for Stanley’s arrest.
Police said all of the charges currently filed are related to the same victim.
Investigators believe Stanley, who is described as transient and has lived in the Bend area for several years, may have had periodic access to children during that time. Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
Anyone with information related to the investigation or who believes they may have information about additional victims is urged to contact Bend Police through non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911.
The investigation remains ongoing.
