Two 14-year-old boys were arrested late Sunday night following an altercation involving multiple juveniles in southwest Bend that left two teens injured, according to Bend Police.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 11:35 p.m. on June 21 to the area of Lodgepole Drive and Mahogany Street after receiving a report of an unknown problem involving several juveniles. When officers arrived, they located two of the youths involved and learned that two others had already left the area.
Investigators determined that the incident stemmed from a fight involving four boys. Two of the juveniles suffered injuries and were transported to St. Charles Bend, where they were treated and later released.
Following the investigation, police arrested two 14-year-old Bend residents. One teen was lodged at the Deschutes County Juvenile Community Justice Facility on suspicion of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The second juvenile was arrested on suspicion of menacing and was also lodged at the facility.
The incident remains under investigation. Police have not released the identities of the juveniles because of their ages.
