PORTLAND, Ore. — Organizers of the 2026 Bloom Tour have announced the first installation award winners for Downtown Portland’s annual floral and botanical art experience, while public voting remains open for the event’s People’s Choice Award through June 8.
Presented by Downtown Portland Clean & Safe, the Bloom Tour features more than 50 floral and botanical installations throughout downtown, transforming public spaces and businesses into immersive displays of art and nature.
This year’s Best Mixed Media Installation Award was presented to Kelley Birkinbine of Bentley Fleurs for The Bird’s Nest. Judges praised the installation for its creative blend of floral artistry and mixed-media elements, creating a highly immersive experience for visitors.
The Best Organic Installation Award went to Matt Riding and Caleb Bell of The Bloomery/R. Bloom’s for their collaborative installation at SMG Collective, which was recognized for its natural artistry and celebration of organic floral design.
The Bloom Tour’s opening event, the Botanical Couture Fashion Show held May 21, also crowned Jordyn Jenkins as the 2026 Bloom Tour Queen. Jenkins, a Portland artist and entrepreneur, was honored for her ability to transform everyday urban spaces into immersive artistic experiences.
People’s Choice Award voting will remain open until the Bloom Tour concludes on June 8. Visitors are encouraged to explore installations across downtown and cast votes for their favorites online. The People’s Choice winner will be announced June 9.
“With so many extraordinary installations this year, selecting award winners was incredibly difficult,” said Sydney Mead, Senior Director of Downtown Programs for Downtown Portland Clean & Safe. “Bloom Tour continues to showcase the incredible creativity of Portland’s floral and artistic community while transforming Downtown into a walkable celebration of beauty and imagination in partnership with local businesses.”
In addition to the installation awards, organizers unveiled a new floral feature created in partnership with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). The project includes 40 hanging flower baskets installed along SW 9th Avenue and SW Park Avenue, creating a colorful floral corridor linking Director Park and Darcelle XV Plaza.
The floral corridor marks the return of hanging flower baskets to the area for the first time in several years and is intended to visually connect the two downtown parks. Darcelle XV Plaza is scheduled to officially open on June 25.
“This project would not have been possible without the deep partnership and collaboration of PBOT,” Mead said. “It is a beautiful restoration of a feature in Downtown Portland and a meaningful way to stitch together these important public spaces through flowers, color, and placemaking.”
Additional information, installation maps, and People’s Choice voting details are available at Bloom Tour PDX.
The Bloom Tour is part of the Visit Downtown campaign, a partnership between Downtown Portland Clean & Safe, the Portland Metro Chamber, and the City of Portland aimed at promoting the vitality, safety, and vibrancy of Portland’s central city.
