MULTNOMAH COUNTY, Ore. — The Oregon State Police Criminal Division is asking for the public’s help identifying a possible witness connected to a sexual assault investigation in eastern Multnomah County.
According to investigators, troopers responded Sunday, May 24, to a report of a sexual assault at the Lewis and Clark Recreation Site near Troutdale.
Detectives are attempting to locate a man who reportedly gave the female victim a ride from the park to a nearby restaurant between approximately 6:20 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The victim described the driver as a white male operating a pickup truck. She told investigators she was wearing a pink bathing suit top and shorts at the time.
State police said the man may have important information related to the investigation and are asking him to come forward to provide a statement.
