WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. — A caregiver working at a care facility in the Raleigh Hills area has been arrested after investigators say he sexually abused an elderly resident while on duty.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on Saturday, May 9, 2026, after staff at the facility reported concerns that a resident may have been sexually assaulted by an employee. Deputies launched an initial investigation before detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit took over the case.
Investigators identified the suspect as 25-year-old Oscar Marquez-Alonso, who had reportedly been employed at the care home for about one month as a caregiver.
Detectives said evidence gathered during the investigation showed Marquez-Alonso sexually abused an elderly female resident while working at the facility.
Marquez-Alonso was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on the following charges:
- Two counts of first-degree sexual abuse
- One count of first-degree sodomy
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
Detectives also expressed concern there may be additional victims connected to the case. The Sheriff’s Office said Marquez-Alonso’s booking photo is being released under Oregon House Bill 3273 in an effort to identify any additional potential victims or criminal activity.
