A 35-year-old Woodburn man was killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Butteville Road Northeast and Lebrun Road Northeast, according to the Woodburn Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:43 p.m. on May 5. Investigators said a Dodge pickup driven by 35-year-old Caleb Doll was traveling east on Lebrun Road NE and attempting to turn left onto Butteville Road NE when it collided with a southbound Kawasaki motorcycle operated by Cyrus Pino, 35, of Woodburn.
Pino was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Preliminary information indicates the crash does not appear to be criminal in nature.
The driver of the pickup was not injured.
The intersection was closed for approximately four hours while investigators processed the scene.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Woodburn Fire Department, Woodburn Ambulance, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team, the Marion County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Woodburn Public Works.
