Prineville, OR – Law enforcement officers in the Heart of Oregon asked residents not to call 911 over spiders in a recent social media post:
Yes…we took an oath to serve and protect, but nobody said anything about spiders. We handle emergencies, not emotional support for 8-legged criminals. For best results: handle it yourself or respectfully relocate homes. You can also contact your nearest brave friend… because it’s not us. All jokes aside, please don’t call 911 for spiders. We’re just as scared as you are.

Great picture, but seriously it’s not a police matter; if you are bitten by a Black Widow or Brown Recluse drive yourself to the doctor for treatment again it’s not a police matter.
