SALEM, Ore. — Catholic Community Services of the Willamette Valley will host its annual St. Joseph the Worker Fundraising Dinner on Sunday, May 3, 2026, bringing together community members and local leaders to support families experiencing housing instability across the region.
The event will take place at St. Mary Parish Center. A social hour is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including a silent auction, wine and coffee pull, and a homestyle meal.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit CCSWV programs such as St. Joseph Family Shelter and Mission Benedict. These initiatives provide housing, meals, clothing, childcare, and other supportive services aimed at helping families achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Organizers say the programs have served as a critical support system for vulnerable families in the Willamette Valley for more than three decades.
The 2026 fundraising goal is $75,000, with all funds directed toward the day-to-day operations of the shelter and food assistance services.
Tickets for the event are priced at $50 and are available online. Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $7,500, offering recognition and reserved seating for participating businesses and community partners.
Mission Benedict, a community food pantry in Mount Angel, serves more than 2,000 low-income individuals and families each year. While the pantry is equipped to assist approximately 200 individuals monthly, demand often exceeds that capacity, with more than 400 people served in some months.
Catholic Community Services of the Mid-Willamette Valley and Central Coast, founded in 1938 in Salem, operates programs across 10 Oregon counties and serves more than 4,500 people annually. The faith-based nonprofit provides services rooted in Catholic social teaching, focusing on supporting the region’s most vulnerable populations.
More information, including ticket purchases and sponsorship details, is available on the organization’s website.
