ASHLAND, Ore. – The Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, working alongside the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, executed a search warrant Wednesday morning, April 15, at a residence in south Ashland as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation.
Authorities said the warrant was obtained after investigators identified that Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) had been uploaded from the address. The case was opened following a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, which led investigators to issue subpoenas before seeking and executing the search warrant.
During the operation, investigators interviewed witnesses and involved parties. Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
The search warrant was carried out at a residence on Neil Creek Road with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, ICAC investigators, and the Homeland Security Investigations, along with support from IMET partners.
Investigators seized multiple digital devices during the search. Those devices will be analyzed by forensic specialists with the Oregon Department of Justice for additional evidence related to child exploitation offenses.
Officials noted that SOCET is a multi-agency task force formed in 2020 to combat child exploitation in Southern Oregon. It includes investigators from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, Oregon DOJ ICAC, and Homeland Security Investigations, along with prosecutors from local, state, and federal partner agencies.
Authorities said the investigation is continuing, with further forensic analysis and interviews underway. No additional details are being released at this time.
