MALHEUR COUNTY, Ore. (April 15, 2026) — Two drivers were killed Tuesday night in a head-on collision on Highway 95 near Jordan Valley, according to the Oregon State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 10:03 p.m. on April 14 near milepost 101. A preliminary investigation found that a gray Honda Accord, driven by Rohit Ror, 27, of Fresno, California, was traveling southbound when it crossed into the northbound lane for reasons that remain under investigation.
The Honda collided head-on with a northbound silver Dodge Ram towing a utility trailer, driven by Gary Albert Diederich, 74, of Greencreek, Idaho.
Ror was pronounced dead at the scene.
Diederich also died at the scene despite lifesaving efforts by a passing motorist, officials said.
The highway remained open during the on-scene investigation.
Emergency responders from Jordan Valley EMS and Humboldt County, Nevada, EMS assisted at the scene. Oregon State Police officials expressed gratitude to the passerby who attempted to render aid to Diederich.
