DALLAS, Ore. — A 21-year-old Lebanon man has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for sexually abusing a 14-year-old in Polk County, according to court officials.
Gage Austin Ferrando received two concurrent 75-month prison terms—equivalent to six and a half years each—after pleading no contest to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. The sentence was handed down by Polk County Circuit Judge Monte S. Campbell.
In addition to his prison term, Ferrando will be required to serve 45 months of post-prison supervision and must register as a sex offender upon his release.
The sentencing falls under Oregon’s Ballot Measure 11, which imposes mandatory minimum sentences for certain serious crimes. As a result, Ferrando is not eligible for early release or sentence reduction programs.
Officials said the sentence will be served in addition to a separate 100-month prison term Ferrando is already serving for a conviction of first-degree rape.
The case was investigated by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Polk County Deputy District Attorney Shannon Clausen.
