Salem, OR. — Capital City Retro Fest will return to Salem’s Waterfront Park August 14–16, 2026, bringing three nights of tribute performances to the Gerry Frank Amphitheater following a successful debut last year.
The all-ages festival, produced by Harefest, LLC, was recognized in 2025 by the Oregon Festivals and Events Association with an Ovation Award for “Music Festival of the Year.”
This year’s lineup spans multiple decades of popular music, with three tribute acts scheduled each night. Friday features Red Not Chili Peppers (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Fighting Foos (Foo Fighters), and Infatuation Junkie (Alanis Morissette). Saturday includes Hysteria (Def Leppard), Wild Boys (Duran Duran), and TribU2 (U2). Sunday’s closing lineup features Taken By The Sky (Fleetwood Mac), Petty Fever (Tom Petty), and Hall & Bros (Hall & Oates and the Doobie Brothers).
Festival organizers say the event is designed to deliver a high-quality concert experience in a family-friendly setting. The 2026 festival also introduces a new “photo stage,” allowing attendees to pose with instruments and capture their own performance-style photos.
“Last year exceeded expectations on a lot of levels,” said co-founder Jason Fellman. “Winning the Ovation Award showed this event connected with the community.”
The festival will also feature food carts, misting tents, free water refill stations, family activities, and a central bar for attendees 21 and older.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with music starting at 7:00 p.m. Sunday opens earlier at 4:00 p.m., with performances beginning at 5:00 p.m.
