Union County, OR. — A Union County woman is facing a felony drug charge after deputies discovered a substantial amount of methamphetamine inside her home earlier this week.
Kyra Ashley Johnston, 36, was arrested Monday by the Union County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of felony possession of methamphetamine.
According to authorities, deputies received information about suspected drug activity at Johnston’s residence on Mitchek Lane in Elgin. Based on that information, investigators obtained a search warrant for her camper.
When deputies executed the warrant, they reported finding a “substantial” quantity of methamphetamine inside.
Johnston was already in custody at the time of the search on separate charges stemming from a prior incident, including resisting arrest and harassment involving offensive physical contact. Following the search, deputies added the drug possession charge.
The case remains under investigation.
