Lincoln City, OR. — A Springfield man has been indicted by a Lincoln County Grand Jury after allegedly attempting to meet a minor following sexually explicit online communications.
According to the Lincoln City Police Department, 38-year-old Rigoberto Lezama-Luna was arrested on February 27, 2026, after arranging to meet someone he believed to be a minor at an undisclosed location in Lincoln City. Investigators say Lezama-Luna had been communicating through social media with an undercover officer posing as a minor and allegedly sent sexually charged messages during the exchange.
When Lezama-Luna arrived at the meeting location, officers arrested him without incident. He was transported to the Lincoln County Jail and booked on charges of Luring a Minor and Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the First Degree.
On March 5, 2026, a Lincoln County Grand Jury issued a True Bill indictment formally charging Lezama-Luna with the alleged crimes.
Lincoln City police said the investigation was part of ongoing efforts to identify and stop individuals targeting children online for sexual exploitation. Officials also encouraged parents to monitor their children’s social media use and talk with them about the risks of communicating with strangers online.
Police thanked the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance in the investigation.
