Beaverton, OR. — A Beaverton man was arrested late Sunday night after authorities say he fired a handgun from the window of a pickup truck, prompting multiple 911 calls.
Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Hillsboro Police Department responded around 10:40 p.m. on February 22, 2026, to reports of gunshots near the 8300 block of NE Quatama Street in Beaverton.
Callers reported seeing the driver of a 2017 Ford F-150 firing a handgun out of the vehicle’s window.
Responding deputies and officers searched the area and soon located the truck parked outside a nearby residence. Investigators found shell casings on the ground near the vehicle, confirming that shots had been fired.
Deputies contacted people inside the residence and identified the driver as 24-year-old Andres Alfaro-Reyes.
During the investigation, authorities determined that Alfaro-Reyes was intoxicated at the time of the incident. He was taken into custody and lodged on multiple charges, including:
- Unlawful Use of a Weapon
- Recklessly Endangering Another Person
- Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII)
- Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree
Authorities said no injuries or property damage were reported.
Investigators are asking anyone with additional information who has not yet spoken with law enforcement to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office through non-emergency dispatch and reference case number 50-26-2505.
