Oregon — Oregon State Sen. David Brock Smith (R) has officially launched his campaign for the United States Senate, declaring that Oregonians are ready for a change in tone and results in Washington, D.C.
In a campaign announcement, Brock Smith said he is entering the race because voters are “tired of partisan bickering, political grandstanding, and headlines that produce nothing but noise.”
Brock Smith pledged to focus on issues he says directly affect everyday Oregonians, including the rising cost of living, public safety, and homelessness. He said his campaign will prioritize policies aimed at making life more affordable for working families across the state.
“As your next U.S. Senator, I’ll fight to make everyday life more affordable for working families, restore safety to our streets, address homelessness with accountability, and ensure every Oregonian’s voice is heard and respected in Washington,” Brock Smith said in his announcement.
The Senate race is expected to draw significant attention as Oregon voters weigh concerns about inflation, housing costs, crime, and the state’s approach to homelessness. Brock Smith’s campaign message centers on accountability in government and reducing political division.
Additional details about campaign events, endorsements, and policy proposals are expected in the coming weeks.
