Washington County, OR. — Deputies are searching for the driver of a black full-size pickup truck following a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured Friday evening.
At 6:34 p.m. on February 13, 2026, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a truck at the intersection of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest 178th Avenue.
Community members stopped to assist a 31-year-old man who was found lying in the roadway. Witnesses told deputies the man had been struck by a vehicle that did not stop at the scene. Bystanders called 911 after realizing the driver had left without checking on the victim.
When deputies arrived, they found the man suffering from serious injuries. The Washington County Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team was called in to lead the investigation.
Investigators later obtained surveillance video from a nearby business showing the involved vehicle. Authorities say the truck appears to be a black, full-size pickup with a four-door cab. The driver may have been a woman with blonde hair.
Deputies are asking anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken with law enforcement, or anyone with information about the identity of the driver, to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503-629-0111 and reference case number 50-26-2105.
The investigation remains ongoing.
