Warm Springs, OR. — A Warm Springs, Oregon, man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for sexually abusing two minors on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.
Harold Charley, 39, was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison followed by a lifetime term of supervised release, according to court records.
The offenses occurred in January 2024, when Charley, a prior sex offender, engaged in sexually abusive contact with two victims between the ages of 12 and 16 over the course of several weeks on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.
On September 23, 2025, Charley was charged by superseding information with two counts of abusive sexual contact. He pleaded guilty to both counts on October 7, 2025.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Warm Springs Police Department. Prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Pamela Paaso.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in 2006 to combat the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The program coordinates federal, state, and local resources to identify victims and prosecute offenders.
