Washington County, OR. — Early Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, 2025, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traffic crash near the 7000 block of SW Taylors Ferry Road after a caller reported hearing a collision and seeing people flee the scene.
Witnesses told deputies that the driver of a 2009 Hyundai Elantra struck a parked vehicle before the driver and three occupants ran from the area on foot. Deputies, along with officers from the Tigard Police Department, established containment and requested assistance from a K9 unit.
Corporal Terry and K9 Griff responded to assist in the search. One suspect was quickly apprehended by a patrol officer, while the remaining three fled through nearby neighborhoods, jumping fences in an attempt to evade law enforcement.
The K9 team continued the search and located the remaining suspects near the 9000 block of SW Picasso Place. All were taken into custody without further incident.
Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 18-year-old Josa Zozaya, on charges of reckless driving, reckless endangering, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), failure to perform the duties of a driver, and second-degree criminal mischief. The three other occupants of the vehicle were determined to be juveniles.
