Dallas, OR. — Polk County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Park has sentenced 22-year-old Micah James Wilson to 72 months in prison for the armed robbery of the Umpqua Bank branch in Independence. The sentence will run consecutively to Wilson’s existing 135-month sentence for robbery and related offenses. He will also serve three years of post-prison supervision upon release.
Wilson pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in the Second Degree stemming from the 2023 incident, during which he threatened bank employees and escaped with $2,636 in cash.
The investigation was conducted by detectives and officers from the Independence, Salem, and Lincoln City Police Departments. Polk County Deputy District Attorney Garrett Lewellen prosecuted the case.
