Portland, OR. — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested multiple violent criminal aliens in Portland last month, despite ongoing riots and Antifa-related unrest that sought to disrupt law enforcement operations.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem traveled to Portland this week to meet with local and federal officials as part of a broader surge of federal resources aimed at restoring public safety and order in the city.
“Pedophiles, murderers, sexual predators, and drug traffickers, these are the heinous criminals Antifa domestic terrorists are trying to obstruct law enforcement from removing from our communities,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “We are not allowing domestic terrorists to slow us down from removing the worst of the worst. President Trump has deployed a surge of federal resources to Portland. Enhanced CBP, ICE, FBI, DOJ, and DEA operations are arresting rioters and Antifa domestic terrorists. This violence will end under President Trump.”
According to DHS, ICE’s recent Portland enforcement operation targeted individuals with serious criminal convictions and prior deportation orders. The list of those arrested includes repeat offenders convicted of violent and sexual crimes, drug trafficking, and weapons violations.
Among the most notable arrests were:
- Jose Aguilar-Zuniga, from Honduras — convicted of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and previously arrested on multiple counts of attempted murder and narcotics offenses.
- Steven Carter Bell, from Canada — convicted of two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and invasion of privacy.
- Flavio Ricardo Ledezma Nuno, from Mexico — convicted multiple times for possession of controlled substances and arrested for resisting arrest and weapons violations.
- Gumercindo Remigio-Ortega, from Mexico — convicted of attempted unlawful sexual penetration and first-degree sexual abuse.
- Luis Rolando De Leon Woodward, from Mexico — convicted of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute heroin.
- Carlos Lopez-Maya, from Mexico — convicted of attempted homicide, assault, burglary, and unlawful weapon use.
Federal officials emphasized that the arrests demonstrate the administration’s ongoing efforts to prioritize the removal of the most dangerous criminal aliens from U.S. communities, even amid violent demonstrations.
“These arrests show that despite threats, violence, and political obstruction, ICE and our federal partners remain steadfast in protecting law-abiding Americans,” McLaughlin said.
DHS confirmed that operations will continue in the Portland area as part of the Trump Administration’s broader initiative to reinforce law enforcement presence and restore order in cities impacted by unrest.

Ok ICE keep up the good work of arresting these criminals – rid Portland of these dirtbags !
