Cowlitz Fire Crew Extinguishes Kelso House Fire

Just after 3pm on 7/3/2024, a fire in Kelso, WA was quickly extinguished by Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue.

Cowlitz County, WA. – Official Release: Just after 3pm, crews from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue were dispatched for a structure fire on Parker Place in Kelso, WA. Crews arrived to find a two-story house with fire in the garage and exposing out the front windows. Crews quickly extinguished the fire while other staff searched the structure and removed multiple cats.

Cowlitz 2 responded with 3 fire engines, 1 water tender, 1 ALS ambulance and 2 chief officers. Assistance was provided by Cowlitz County Fire District 6 with a water tender and from the Cowlitz County Sherrif Office animal services officers. Nobody was injured and the cause is under investigation.
